  • Coach Luis Rodriguez, a highly experienced soccer coach and director, has been appointed as the new Director of the Boys Program and Head Coach. • Coach Pedro Paz is a United States Soccer Federation C License coach who has coached in the DMV area for over 10 years. He has coached at every level from recreational to 4th division semi pro. On the youth level, his teams have beaten the top teams in the area competing in Presidents Cup and various tournaments in and out of the state. Most notably, his team beat the 4th ranked team in the state advancing to the President’s Cup Final while at Potomac Soccer Association. On the adult level, he was the head coach of the MOCO 1776 soccer team in the United Premier Soccer League. He was voted coach of the week and led the team to a playoff appearance in their inaugural season in the league. At the high school level, Paz coached at Dematha High School, Academy of the Holy Cross, Potomac Soccer Association, Arrington Training Development and A3 Soccer as a head coach. Paz focuses on development and decision making as a coach. Development is always the long term goal and each player has their unique journey with their development. Every day, he allots time and energy to repetition in skill work on dribbling, passing, shooting and/or juggling to give students opportunities to develop. Decision making comes from putting players into difficult scenarios hundreds of times per training session. Through that rigorous training, players continuously demonstrate their ability or inability to recognize those situations and make good decisions which translates to the matches which is, what he believes, great coaches are made. Direct, encouraging instructions grows the player decision vocabulary making them more versatile as players. Paz is a music educator and a real estate investor in addition to coaching. He and his wife have one son and are expecting a daughter in the coming weeks. He is also an avid snowboarder, fisherman and golfer in his free time.
